Innovative ideas or solutions:
Last financial year (2007/2008) the CT S&T Centre supported a diverse set of innovative ideas to CT issues from academia, industry and government laboratories, with attention focussed on exploiting three key themes:

  • Social network analysis
  • Understanding the terrorist as groups or individuals
  • Information exploitation

White papers were submitted by potential suppliers and the resultant CT S&T Centre Innovation Programme covered a broad range of science and technology.

This year (2008/2009) we are still interested in innovative science and technology for all aspects of counter-terrorism, but suggest the following concepts to stimulate innovation:

  • Hostile intent and behaviour
  • Beyond the human senses
  • Intervene and isolate
  • Enhancing human capability

So if you have an innovative idea which you think might be of interest to the CT S&T Centre, please complete a white paper (pdf Doc). white paper (Word Doc).

Send all completed white papers to the CT S&T Centre (see details below). The white paper will be formally acknowledged by the CT S&T Centre.

Please include an electronic copy of the white paper or profroma within the letter.
All UNCLASSIFIED completed proformas and white papers should be returned to the CT Centre by email to enquiries@ctcentre.mod.uk.

You can also submit innovative proposals to the Centre for Defence Enterprise. The Centre for Defence Enterprise do not focus exclusively on counter-terrorism, so their remit is broader. You do not need to submit counter-terrorism proposals to both the Centre for Defence Enterprise and the CT S&T Centre, as they will forward any counter-terrorism focused proposals to us.
